Dr. dr. Wijaya Lukito, PhD., has completed Medical School from Airlangga University in 1986, and received a PhD in the medical field from the Faculty of Medicine, Monash University in Melbourne, Australia in 1995.

He is currently active as a lecturer of Food and Nutrition in Medical School of University of Indonesia. He also devoted a lot on the Food and Nutrition under the auspices of the Southeast Asia Ministers of Education Organization, University of Indonesia and was the director of this organization inn 2004 – 2008 and since 2009 becomes a coordinator of a Human Nutrition Research Cluster, Medical Education and Research Center, Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia, Jakarta, Indonesia. He had been a special staff of Health Minister in the period 2004-2009 and a president of the Consultative Council for Health.
